It's Over

Finally, the PSLE is over and all the P6s can really let their hair (if they still have any) down. They can play like as if there is no tomorrow, play as if they don't have to see all those books ever again. Well, my children, happy times fly past very quickly, in a blink of eyes in fact, and before you know it, the results are out and the pressure is back again. First, you have to choose a secondary school where you will be spending, at least, the next 4 years, so one wrong choice and you could be in for hell and miseries. Thus, instead of spending all your free time catching up on your play and games, you should spend some time doing some homework. Not homework again? Relax, this is homework of a different sort, homework on the secondary schools which you might want to consider attending next year. Search the net for the school's webpage to learn more about the school and its achievements and CCAs offered. Then make a trip, physically, down to the school and have a look at the surroundings and enivronment of the school. If possible, talk to the teachers and pupils to get a feel of how it is like to study there. Another thing to take note is the school uniform. You wouldn't want to be wearing something that you are not proud of. Then more importantly, you have to get your mind back into studying mode very soon after that. Secondary school life will be more interesting and romantic (for some of you), so you must be both mentally and physically prepared to work much harder than in primary school. Thus, don't over enjoy yourself now and later find that you don't have the stamina to get ready for school. All the best to you, may you get into your ideal school. Remember your teachers in primary school, especially me. (thick-skin ar)
